Chennai: The upcoming film Janayagan has reportedly surfaced online even before its theatrical release, triggering widespread outrage across the film industry.
Superstar Rajinikanth said the leak was shocking and painful, urging film organisations to raise their voice and asking the government to identify those responsible and ensure strict punishment so such crimes do not continue.
Actor Suriya called it a “heartbreaking injustice” and appealed to the public not to watch, share or even discuss the leaked version, stressing respect for the team’s hard work. Sivakarthikeyan echoed the appeal, asking audiences to avoid pirated copies and wait to watch the film in theatres, while demanding stringent action against those responsible.
Vijay Deverakonda said the leak made him angry and described it as an act that destroys dreams, adding that failure to quickly identify the culprits would reflect a systemic failure. Sarathkumar urged that the issue should not be politicised and called for police to arrest the real offenders.
Pooja Hegde said the team had sacrificed personal time to deliver the best experience and urged fans to celebrate Vijay’s last film on the big screen by waiting for the theatrical release. Chiranjeevi, composer G.V. Prakash, Khushbu and Vishal also condemned piracy, with several other film personalities and associations joining the call to reject pirated viewing and take firm action.
