NTK (Naam Tamilar Katchi) functionaries say the party has intensified efforts in Karaikudi to secure a win for its chief coordinator Seeman, who is contesting from the constituency.
According to party administrators, the constituency’s vote composition includes Mukkulathor voters at around 25–30%, Devendra Kula Vellalar at 12–14%, Nagarathar at about 12%, and Yadavar and minority voters together at roughly 10%.
They claim the Mukkulathor bloc, being the largest, is likely to be decisive in the outcome. As an example, they pointed to the 2021 election in which AMMK secured about 21% of the votes in the constituency.
NTK leaders also argue that votes from Devendra Kula Vellalar, Nagarathar and minority communities could be crucial to strengthening Seeman’s prospects. They add that the party sees an advantage in projecting Seeman as a leader who cannot be confined to any single caste, and say their campaign highlights his support for issues faced by multiple communities.
