Sengottaiyan, who recently left the AIADMK and joined actor Vijay’s TVK, made an awkward slip during election campaigning near Sathyamangalam in Erode district.

He was canvassing support for a TVK candidate and addressed voters from a campaign vehicle, seeking votes from the gathered public.

During his appeal, he initially asked people to vote for the AIADMK’s ‘double leaf’ symbol instead of TVK’s ‘whistle’ symbol.

Moments later, he recovered and explained that he had become accustomed to repeatedly asking for votes for the ‘double leaf’. He then corrected his request and urged voters to support TVK by voting for its ‘whistle’ symbol.
