Madurai campaign pitch
Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) coordinator Seeman, campaigning in Madurai, told voters he does not have crores of rupees but has “a higher ideology,” and asked people to trust him, saying he would not betray them.
Focus on farmers and daily essentials
He argued that farmers are central to everyday life, saying people can live without cars, phones or televisions, but not without food. He urged voters to look for the “farmer” symbol and cast their votes accordingly.
Promises framed as public welfare goals
Seeman said his aim was to help people live well, ensure children receive good education, provide better healthcare, supply safe drinking water and ensure food free of poison and toxins.
Attack on major parties and cash offers
Criticising the two Dravidian parties, he questioned how long voters would continue to rally behind familiar symbols and warned that promises such as Rs 1,000, Rs 2,000 or Rs 8,000 coupons were meant to mislead. He also accused governments of being unable to provide drinking water and alleged that people were being asked to vote for those who “steal hills and soil,” calling for support to change the notion that only the wealthy can do politics.
