Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, during a morning walk in Paramakudi, met residents and sought votes, receiving what he described as an enthusiastic welcome from the public.

He also interacted with weavers in Emaneswaram, part of the Paramakudi constituency, and heard their grievances before speaking to reporters.

Responding to questions on the campaign, Stalin said the media should assess how the electioneering has been, adding that he would tend to “exaggerate” while journalists are expected to critique and report.

Stalin alleged that AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) was speaking in “despair of defeat”. He added that his walks were routine, and that during election time people come to meet him.

The Chief Minister further claimed that the BJP was entering Tamil Nadu “wearing the AIADMK mask”. He said he had issued a statement condemning changes involving government officials and that a complaint had been filed with the Election Commission.
