Former BJP national president J.P. Nadda released the party’s election manifesto for Tamil Nadu in Chennai, outlining a mix of welfare support, festival-linked benefits and sector-specific assistance.

A key promise is a monthly assistance of ₹2,000 for homemakers, along with a one-time financial support of ₹10,000 per family. The party also said it would provide three free LPG cylinders annually—during Pongal, Tamil New Year and Deepavali—and offer a ₹25,000 subsidy for eligible women to purchase electric two-wheelers.

On law and order, the manifesto proposes special fast-track courts to handle heinous cases including sexual offences and POCSO cases, 100% CCTV coverage in buses and universities, and full utilisation of the Nirbhaya fund. It also promises the death penalty for drug trafficking gangs, along with a dedicated anti-drug wing, coastal narcotics intelligence unit, a special helpline and fast-track courts.

The document includes measures for farmers, fishers, students and entrepreneurs. It promises one-time support of ₹50,000 for small and marginal farmers to start allied activities such as livestock, shrimp, beekeeping and poultry; market support for crops including tapioca, tomato, mango, banana and chilli; and annual assistance of ₹9,000. It also proposes higher fishing ban relief, pensions for senior fishers, interest-free education loans for first-generation graduates, AI and robotics training for Class 12 pass-outs, and interest-free loans for first-time youth entrepreneurs.
