VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan has trained his criticism on actor-turned-politician Vijay, arguing that the current election should be seen as a “people’s battle” between Tamil Nadu’s electorate and forces promoting Sangh Parivar politics.
He said his party would oppose what he described as anti-people politics of the BJP-AIADMK alliance, and positioned the contest as a larger fight against such ideological influence in the state.
Referring to Vijay’s political posture, Thirumavalavan questioned whether Vijay could realistically secure power in this election, suggesting that Vijay himself would know the limits of that possibility.
Thirumavalavan alleged that despite knowing he cannot form a government, Vijay’s call to remove the DMK could effectively strengthen Sangh Parivar-aligned forces, creating conditions for the BJP-led NDA to gain a foothold in Tamil Nadu.
He said this was why Vijay’s politics needed to be highlighted and “exposed,” claiming the intent behind the stance was becoming increasingly clear.
