Vijay told supporters they could “trust him 100%” while addressing a roadshow held at Perumanallur in Tiruppur district.

In his remarks, he highlighted the role of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in creating lakhs of jobs. He said Tamil Nadu is among the states with a high number of MSMEs, but also claimed it ranks second in the country for MSME closures, blaming the DMK government.

He also announced a proposal for farmers, stating that crop loans taken through agricultural cooperative societies would be fully waived for those owning less than five acres of land.

On government employees’ welfare, he said his party’s government would consider and assess the restoration of the old pension scheme.

The roadshow drew a large crowd, and the heat led to a series of fainting incidents. Around 10 people, including a candidate, reportedly fainted and were provided first-aid treatment.
