Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay is set to campaign and hold a roadshow in Tiruppur on Tuesday, after Tiruppur City Police granted permission following prolonged uncertainty.

Vijay has been campaigning across districts in support of TVK candidates. As part of that outreach, the party planned a Tiruppur programme, but approval remained undecided until Monday evening.

TVK administrators, led by the party’s executive committee coordinator Sengottaiyan, camped in Tiruppur and met election officials and police officers. Police raised several queries and issued permission with multiple restrictions.

For the event, Vijay will travel from Chennai to Coimbatore by a private flight. The roadshow is scheduled to begin at 3.00 pm at Avinashi Kaikatti, proceed via Perumanallur, and continue up to Pooluvapatti in the Tiruppur city limits. He is expected to address the public from the campaign vehicle at one point along the route.
