BJP leader K. Annamalai on Tuesday accused Chief Minister M.K. Stalin of attempting to politicise every issue, while campaigning in Coimbatore.
Addressing voters in Singanallur constituency in support of AIADMK candidate K.R. Jayaraman, Annamalai alleged that the Chief Minister was running a “false campaign” that the Union government had not provided funds to Tamil Nadu. He claimed there was documentary proof for the funds allocated to the State.
Annamalai said people in Tamil Nadu were welcoming the proposed 33% reservation for women. He also took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he was not ready to visit Tamil Nadu as he already knew the election outcome.
Criticising the DMK–Congress alliance, Annamalai referred to past political positions and alliances between the parties, and claimed the DMK government would be removed from power in the State. He further asserted that the AIADMK-led alliance would win all 27 seats in the Kongu region.
