The production company behind actor Vijay’s film Jananayagan has approached the Madras High Court, complaining about the movie allegedly being leaked online.
The film, described as Vijay’s last project, has not been released so far due to multiple reasons, including certification-related issues. Amid the delay, the movie reportedly surfaced on the internet, drawing condemnation from various quarters.
Cyber Crime police, who are investigating the leak, have arrested six people and are continuing inquiries. Separately, the film was also allegedly telecast on a local cable TV network in Coimbatore, and a person identified as Palanisamy has been arrested in connection with it.
When the matter was mentioned before the court, Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy said the issue would be taken up if filed as a formal petition.
