Prime Minister Narendra Modi will campaign in Nagercoil on Tuesday through a roadshow, backing National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates in Kanyakumari district.
In the ongoing Assembly election, the BJP is contesting in the district’s Nagercoil, Padmanabhapuram, Kulachal and Vilavancode constituencies. Modi’s visit is aimed at supporting BJP nominees as well as other NDA candidates in the district.
According to the plan, Modi will travel from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and arrive in Nagercoil by helicopter in the evening. He will then take part in the roadshow as part of the campaign.
AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami is set to accompany the Prime Minister in an open jeep, along with Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran, former state president Annamalai and the candidates.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to campaign again on April 18 in Coimbatore in support of NDA candidates.
