TVK (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam) executive committee coordinator Sengottaiyan said actor-politician Vijay attracts crowds “without spending even a rupee”, describing the turnout as voluntary.

Speaking to reporters in Nambiyur in Erode district, Sengottaiyan responded to AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS), who has accused him of betrayal. Sengottaiyan questioned the charge and said his role in making EPS the Chief Minister and later the party’s general secretary was being portrayed as “betrayal”.

He also levelled a series of allegations against EPS, including claims related to alliance conditions, treatment of Sasikala after her return from prison, and the removal of O Panneerselvam and T T V Dhinakaran from the party. He further alleged that despite BJP’s support, EPS announced there would be no alliance for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Sengottaiyan asserted that TVK would win all 234 Assembly constituencies and said people have already decided Vijay will be the next Chief Minister. He added that a long-held public desire for a leader like Vijay would be fulfilled on the 23rd.
