Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin spoke over the phone with Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, regarding the constituency redelineation issue.
Stalin has been voicing opposition to the proposed redrawing exercise. In Namakkal, he staged a protest by hoisting a black flag and burning a copy of the redelineation plan, warning that Tamil Nadu would not remain silent if it is affected.
During the call, Stalin urged Rahul Gandhi to take the lead in mounting protests inside Parliament against the redelineation move.
He also assured Rahul that DMK MPs would extend full support to efforts aimed at defeating the constituency redelineation bill.
