TIME magazine has published its annual list of the world’s 100 most influential people for 2026, featuring figures from politics, business, culture, science and sports.
Among those with Indian roots named this year are Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Michelin-star chef Vikas Khanna, actor Ranbir Kapoor, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
The list also includes several global leaders such as US President Donald Trump, Pope Leo, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Artemis II mission commander Reid Wiseman.
In sports, Olympic athletes Alysa Liu, Hilary Knight and Chloe Kim were cited for their achievements. Doctors Kiran Musunuru and Rebecca Ahrens-Nicklas were also included in the 2026 selection.
