VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan, who recently campaigned in constituencies including Tiruporur in Chengalpattu district, visited Minister Anbarasan’s office in Tirukalukundram.

According to the account shared by VCK supporters, as the minister welcomed him, staff brought a wire chair from an inner room. Thirumavalavan then moved to sit on a plastic chair that was already there.

Minister Anbarasan intervened and requested that he use the wire chair instead. Thirumavalavan initially declined and asked the minister to sit, again attempting to take the plastic chair.

Anbarasan reportedly stopped him once more and asked for his cushioned chair to be brought from inside, taking that seat himself while Thirumavalavan sat on the wire chair.

VCK members said the move was aimed at avoiding a repeat of an earlier controversy in which a DMK minister was seen seated on a cushioned chair while Thirumavalavan was made to sit on a plastic chair, drawing public criticism and allegations of caste-based insensitivity.
