Election campaigning has heated up in Tamil Nadu with only a few days left for polling. Reports from the field indicate that candidates from major parties have begun distributing cash and gift items to voters, depending on their financial capacity.
Against this backdrop, candidates of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) are canvassing by handing out pamphlets to the public. The leaflets reportedly carry QR codes, through which those willing can contribute funds to support the candidates’ campaign.
The approach has triggered questions from some voters. People have reportedly asked why the candidates are seeking money from the public when they expected candidates to offer cash in exchange for votes.
The contrasting methods have become a talking point as the campaign enters its final stretch, reflecting differing strategies adopted by parties on the ground.
