Union minister and BJP leader Piyush Goyal alleged that Tamil Nadu has become “embroiled in corruption” due to what he described as family-centric politics in the ruling setup.
Referring to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Sabareesan and Kanimozhi, Goyal claimed that people are preparing to “save” the state from this model of governance.
He further said that a majority of people have begun supporting the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which includes the AIADMK and the BJP in Tamil Nadu.
Goyal also levelled allegations of illegal sand mining, TASMAC-related corruption and land grabbing, claiming DMK members are operating like “mafias” and that youth have been pushed into addiction.
Criticising the state’s financial statement, he said agriculture did not receive adequate focus and accused the Chief Minister of repeatedly making false claims.
