An audio clip allegedly featuring a conversation between Mukundan, grandson of PMK founder Dr. S. Ramadoss, and a supporter from Anbumani Ramadoss’ camp has gone viral on social media, triggering fresh political buzz.
The controversy comes amid the ongoing internal split in the PMK, which was earlier linked to Mukundan being appointed as state president of the party’s youth wing. Mukundan later resigned from the post and has been staying with Ramadoss at the Thailapuram estate.
On April 17, Ramadoss, his elder daughter Srikandhi and Mukundan held a joint press meet at Thailapuram. Mukundan alleged that Anbumani’s side had promised him an MLA seat and said they would bear the election expenses, adding that he had proof and would release it soon.
In the now-circulating audio, a person described as an Anbumani supporter is heard saying that Anbumani had agreed to field Mukundan in some constituency, ensure he becomes an MLA, and take care of the expenses, while party position matters could be discussed later. Mukundan is heard responding only with brief acknowledgements.
The clip has further intensified the political tension within the party, with the allegations and the audio being widely discussed online.
