Chennai: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Sunday expressed confidence that the DMK would emerge victorious in every measure of public mood, including opinion polls, and said the party would “create history” by winning 200 constituencies.

In a statement, Stalin recounted his campaign schedule from Hosur to Chennai, saying he wrapped up canvassing around 10 pm at Ennore. He said he sought votes street by street for about five kilometres across Mylapore, Thousand Lights and T. Nagar, before continuing outreach at Nettukuppam in Tiruvottiyur.

Stalin added that his day ended after meeting residents in the fishing community and having a meal at a local home. He said he set out for Anna Nagar at daybreak.

Later on April 20, Stalin canvassed for the DMK candidate among morning walkers at Tower Park in Anna Nagar. People at the park greeted him, shook hands and took photographs.

With the final phase of campaigning set to conclude on April 21, leaders across parties have intensified election outreach across Tamil Nadu.
