A divorce case filed by Sangeetha against actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay has been adjourned to June 15, the court said on Monday.
Sangeetha had filed the petition in February seeking divorce from Vijay. Reports following the filing said she had alleged in her petition that Vijay had an illicit relationship with an actress.
The matter came up for hearing at the Chengalpattu First Family Welfare Court. Although the court had directed Vijay and Sangeetha to appear, neither was present on Monday.
Lawyers representing both sides attended the hearing. Vijay’s counsel sought an adjournment, after which Judge Sasikala posted the case to June 15.
