The Indian Army on social media remembered the Pahalgam terror attack on the eve of its first anniversary, stating that “India will not forget.”

On April 22 last year, Pakistan-based terrorists attacked in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 innocent tourists. The incident led to a drop in tourist arrivals in the region.

The Army said it delivered a strong response through a military operation named “Operation Sindoor.” With security subsequently strengthened, tourist footfall has been rising again.

In its message, the Army said that when the limits of humanity are crossed, India’s response will be intense and uncompromising, adding that justice was delivered and the country stands united. It reiterated that there will be no compromise on national security and sovereignty.
