BJP national general secretary (organisation) B.L. Santhosh has said booth committee office-bearers who deliver more than 75% votes at each polling booth in BJP-contested constituencies will be facilitated to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in person.

According to BJP sources, the party is contesting 27 constituencies as part of the AIADMK-led alliance and has asked state and district functionaries to ensure the party wins in double digits and sends MLAs to the Assembly.

As part of the campaign push, senior leaders including Modi, Shah and Union ministers have campaigned in the constituencies where the BJP is in the fray.

Sources said Santhosh visited constituencies such as Sattur and Madurai South last week and held discussions with functionaries including ‘Shakti Kendra’ in-charges, during which he conveyed the incentive linked to booth-level vote share.

The remarks were shared by party sources.
