The Election Commission has begun distributing booth slips door-to-door for voters whose names are included in the electoral roll.

Voters can use the booth slip and carry their voter identity card to the polling station allotted to them to cast their vote.

For those who do not have a voter ID card, the Commission has said voting is permitted by producing any one of 12 approved documents notified by it.

The Commission has also reiterated that taking photographs inside polling booths is strictly prohibited. Violators may face up to three months of imprisonment and a fine, it warned.
