With the Tamil Nadu Assembly election campaign concluded, senior leaders are beginning post-election travel plans, with many expected to return to their constituencies a day or two before vote counting.

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi left Chennai on Thursday morning for an overseas tour, travelling with his wife and daughter. The trip is expected to include Dubai and London.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is scheduled to travel to Kodaikanal on Friday, April 25, along with his family.

The election notification was issued on March 15, following which parties released candidate lists and intensified campaigning across the state. With polling over, leaders are now taking a brief break before the next phase of the election process.
