Chennai: AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) has urged party members to keep a vigilant watch at vote-counting centres for any alleged rigging by DMK functionaries.
In a statement, EPS thanked voters who carried out their democratic duty and AIADMK workers who, he said, worked tirelessly during the election.
He said candidates and counting agents should closely monitor whether the counting process at their designated centres is being conducted properly.
EPS further asked party representatives to immediately inform higher officials and seek remedies if any irregularities or misuse are noticed during the counting process.
He added that the party would work to prevent what he described as “evil forces” from returning, while stressing heightened vigilance at counting venues.
