A ragi chocolate paniyaram is a simple snack that combines the goodness of ragi with a chocolate flavour. With cocoa and jaggery, it is positioned as a tasty option that children may enjoy.
Ingredients needed: ragi flour (1 cup), milk (1 cup), jaggery (1/2 cup), cocoa powder (1/4 cup), a little oil, baking powder, vanilla essence and ghee.
In a bowl, mix ragi flour, cocoa powder, jaggery, milk, oil, baking powder and vanilla essence. Stir well until the batter reaches an idli-batter consistency.
Heat the paniyaram pan and grease the moulds with ghee. Pour the batter, cover, and cook until one side is done; then flip and cook the other side evenly.
Serve hot. The chocolate taste is expected to make it appealing for children, while ragi adds a healthier touch.
