Chennai: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday held an urgent consultation with DMK candidates from Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram districts at the party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam.
According to sources, the meeting focused on polling-related issues, including constituency-wise winning prospects and voter turnout. Stalin is said to have sought updates directly from the candidates.
During the discussion, candidates reportedly raised a series of complaints about the performance of party functionaries in certain constituencies, including Perambur. They alleged that some local-level office-bearers did not carry out election work effectively during polling.
DMK circles also said Stalin enquired about the reported clash involving Harbour constituency DMK candidate and minister P.K. Sekarbabu and the Thaveka candidate, Sinora Ashok.
