Tiruppur’s Sri Sathya Sai Seva Centre observed Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Aradhana Day with a day-long programme blending spiritual practices and community service at the Sai Mandir in Ram Nagar on P.N. Road.

The celebrations began at 5 am during Brahma Muhurtham with Omkaram and Suprabatham, followed by a Nagar Sankeerthanam. Devotees walked through the streets chanting Baba’s name, after which a Ganapathi homam was performed and the Prasanthi flag was hoisted.

In line with the message “Service to man is service to God,” volunteers began preparations for Narayana Seva (annadanam) from the previous night. The meal service started at 11.30 am, with 1,100 devotees receiving prasad.

In the evening, Veda parayanam and a special bhajan programme were held. A talk by Kali Vignesh—associated with the National Leadership Programme and a former Bal Vikas student—recalled Baba’s teachings, and the event concluded with Maha Mangala Aarati.

The centre noted that, beyond Aradhana Day, it also runs a public service initiative throughout the Tamil month of Chithirai, distributing neer mor (spiced buttermilk) to help people cope with the summer heat.
