A virtual hearing at the Delhi High Court was disrupted on Tuesday after pornographic visuals appeared during online proceedings, forcing the court to halt the session.

Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia had begun hearing a matter via video conference when, at around 12:56 pm, explicit content was suddenly broadcast on the feed. The hearing was immediately stopped.

When the court resumed shortly after, the visuals reportedly appeared again. An unidentified person then entered the online session and claimed the call had been hacked.

The hearing was paused once more and later restarted, during which songs were played on the feed. Angered by the repeated disruption, the Chief Justice directed the registrar to take action and reiterated that recording court proceedings in video form is prohibited, warning of strict action for violations.

Delhi Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
