Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and offered prayers at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Temple authorities welcomed him with traditional music, including drumbeats and rhythmic instruments, as he arrived at the shrine.

During the visit, the Prime Minister also participated in a yagna held at the temple.

Later on April 29, Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the 594-kilometre-long Ganga Expressway. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Union and state ministers, is expected to attend the event.
