The weather department has forecast a chance of heavy rain in Nilgiris and Coimbatore for the next three days from today. It also said heavy showers may occur in Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts.

Meanwhile, ahead of Chithra Pournami, a special electric train service has been announced for three days from today for Tiruvannamalai. The service will depart Villupuram at 10.10 am and reach Tiruvannamalai at 11.45 am, and return from Tiruvannamalai at 12.15 pm to reach Villupuram at 1.45 pm.
