Chennai: DMDK general secretary Premalatha on Thursday dismissed speculation around opinion polls, saying there was no need for “over-imagination” and that the results would soon be clear.
Marking May Day, she paid floral tributes to the statue of party founder Vijayakanth in Chennai. Speaking to reporters afterwards, she said only a couple of days remained and that the outcome would be known on May 4.
Premalatha said the DMDK was contesting as part of a secular alliance and expressed confidence that the front would register a big win. She also said Chief Minister M.K. Stalin would return to office.
Responding to criticism and heightened attention on her party, she said DMDK had been in the spotlight for the past six months and added that she would answer detractors on May 4.
