Chennai: TVK leader and actor Vijay is scheduled to take part in special prayers at the Velankanni Basilica early on May 2, according to reports.
The visit comes as Vijay has been undertaking a spiritual tour ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly election results. Party sources indicated the prayers are being viewed as significant with the outcome expected on May 4.
After the Velankanni programme, Vijay is expected to participate in worship at the Nagore dargah. Reports said he would leave for Velankanni on the night of May 1.
Arrangements have reportedly been made for him to stay at a private hotel in Velankanni. In recent days, Vijay had also offered prayers at the Tiruchendur Murugan temple and at Shirdi Sai Baba.
