The Election Commission has arranged to share Assembly election results with the public in real time through a mobile application.

Assembly elections have concluded in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Assam, Kerala and West Bengal. Vote counting is scheduled for May 4, with counting set to begin at 8:00 am.

Officials said postal ballots will be counted first, followed by votes recorded in electronic voting machines.

Until now, result-related information was available only on the Election Commission’s website. This time, the details will also be released through the Commission’s mobile app, ECINET.

The app will provide state-wise and constituency-wise live lead updates. The Election Commission has already used the app to publish polling percentage data by state and district.
