The National Testing Agency (NTA) has said candidates appearing for the NEET entrance exam can wear full-sleeved clothing. It added that those wearing such outfits should reach the exam centre early to complete security checks.

NEET is the common entrance test for admissions to medical courses including MBBS, BDS and Siddha. The exam for the current academic year will be conducted on May 3 across 552 centres in India.

A total of 22.79 lakh candidates are set to take the test nationwide. In Tamil Nadu, more than one lakh students will appear, while Chennai will host over 21,000 candidates across 43 centres.

As per the instructions issued by the NTA, candidates should bring a transparent water bottle. Faith-based items and clothing are permitted, but candidates must report early to facilitate screening.

The agency also said candidates may wear light clothing, including full-sleeved and woollen garments, and should come in ordinary footwear. For clarifications, candidates can contact 011-40759000 or 011-69227700.
