Post-poll surveys have reportedly triggered confusion among voters and political leaders in Tamil Nadu, with different projections pointing to a DMK-led alliance, an AIADMK-led alliance, or even Vijay’s TVK forming the government.

Against this backdrop, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is said to have held consultations in New Delhi. According to the report, Shah’s assessment is that no party will secure a clear majority in the state.

He is quoted as saying that whichever front forms the government—DMK alliance, AIADMK alliance, or TVK—it would be a coalition administration, as no one can form a government without the backing of partners.

Shah is also said to have told alliance leaders to remain calm until the results are declared, and that discussions would be held after the outcome. The report adds that he has already spoken with AIADMK leaders.
