Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form the government in Tamil Nadu by securing a majority.

Speaking to reporters, Goyal said the NDA in the state is moving towards a “firm victory”. He added that he would not have travelled from Delhi if he had doubts about the alliance’s prospects.

Goyal also said he expects a change in Tamil Nadu this time, claiming that people want change and development.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, he said development is taking place across India and that Tamil Nadu should also be part of it. He said he believes the people of Tamil Nadu will give the NDA the mandate.
