Hyderabad were bowled out for 165 in 19 overs against Kolkata in a Premier League match at the Hyderabad ground on Saturday.
After winning the toss, Hyderabad chose to bat and began aggressively through openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. Abhishek fell for 15, but the early momentum continued.
Head and Ishan Kishan kept the scoring rate high, with Head striking a brisk half-century. He made 61 off 28 balls before getting out, while Kishan later departed for 42.
Hyderabad’s middle order then collapsed, with several batters failing to convert the platform into a bigger total. Varun Chakravarthy led Kolkata’s bowling with three wickets, while Sunil Narine and Kartik Tyagi took two each; Ankul Roy, Vaibhav Arora and Green picked up one wicket apiece.
