VCK president Thol. Thirumavalavan on Monday said his party has not yet considered or taken any decision on whether to support Thaweka.
Speaking to reporters in Chennai, he responded to questions about Thaweka not having a majority and what stand the VCK and Communist parties would take. Thirumavalavan said the Left parties and the VCK have long travelled together in the secular political space.
He added that in the future too, they would take important political decisions jointly, but stressed that the specific question raised by the media has not been discussed so far.
Thirumavalavan also said the people of Tamil Nadu have delivered a verdict that there is no place for caste- and religion-based forces in the state, and claimed their efforts have succeeded.
He noted that their campaign goal was to defeat the AIADMK-BJP alliance, and that in the election they did not project Thaweka as the target of opposition by foregrounding the DMK alliance.
