Dinamalar has compiled the top 10 candidates who won by the highest vote margins in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election. The list is led by Edappadi K. Palaniswami (AIADMK), who secured victory with a margin of 98,110 votes.
Several constituencies recorded large winning margins, with candidates such as Saravanan (Sholinganallur), Vijayaprabhu (Madhavaram), Rameshkumar (Avadi) and others featuring in the top 10. As per the compilation, nine of the 10 biggest-margin winners are from the party listed as TAVEK.
The report also lists the 10 closest contests in the election. The narrowest win was in Tirupathur, where Seeni Vaas Sethupathi (TAVEK) won by just one vote.
Other tight races included Vepanahalli (138 votes), Kanniyakumari (214), Polur (227) and several more constituencies where the margin stayed under 1,000 votes. The closest-wins list includes candidates from DMK, AIADMK, VCK and BJP as well.
