Chennai: AIADMK-backed MLA Leema Rose on Monday claimed that the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is holding discussions with AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) to form a government with AIADMK support.
Leema Rose, who won from the Lalgudi constituency, met EPS in Chennai and received his greetings. She is also identified as the wife of a lottery businessman.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, she said the talks were related to government formation and expressed confidence that the discussions would conclude positively. She added that she believed an EPS-led government would be formed.
However, AIADMK former minister Manian offered a contrasting account later in the day. After meeting EPS, he said no talks were taking place with TVK and that AIADMK would not extend support to TVK.
