Chennai: Actor and BJP functionary Kasthuri has said that any hurdle or delay in the process of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) forming a government would be viewed as an indirect political move by the BJP.

In a statement, she argued that the people of Tamil Nadu have extended strong support to Vijay and that TVK has emerged as a major political force. She said it is the Governor’s duty to invite the party to form the government and provide an opportunity to prove its majority on the Assembly floor.

Kasthuri said any move to slow down the process would be seen not only by the public in Tamil Nadu but also by others as a political strategy, leading to suspicion that the BJP is responsible.

She also noted that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has already clarified he would not stand in the way of the next government being formed. Therefore, she said, the BJP alone would face public doubt, and it would be in the party’s own interest to ensure the new government is formed quickly without obstruction.
