New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday marked one year since the completion of the military action dubbed “Operation Sindoor”, saluting the armed forces for what he described as a successful operation.
According to the account, the operation involved strikes on terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and in Pakistan, carried out as retaliation for the Pahalgam attack. The action, the report said, drew global attention.
Sharing a photograph linked to the operation, Modi appealed to citizens to use it as their cover image on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. He said the gesture would be a mark of respect for the armed forces and their achievement during the operation.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also posted a message, paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces. He said the operation reflected national resolve and demonstrated that the forces remain prepared to perform effectively in critical moments.
