Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Police has appointed two IPS officers—Aravind and Visvesh Balasubramanian Sastri—to the Intelligence Wing on special duty.
Visvesh Balasubramanian Sastri, currently serving as Ariyalur district Superintendent of Police, is from Kerala and was selected to the Tamil Nadu IPS cadre in 2017. He began his service as Assistant SP at Kulachal in Kanyakumari district and later served as Assistant SP at the Governor’s camp office in 2021.
He has now been posted as Superintendent of Police (Intelligence) on special duty at the DGP office. Aravind, who is currently the SP of Kallakurichi district, has previously served as SP in the Intelligence Division of the Chennai City Police and as SP of Tenkasi district.
Aravind has also been appointed as SP (Intelligence) on special duty at the DGP office. The posting orders were issued by DGP Sandeep Rai Rathod.
The order further stated that Perambalur SP Prabhakar will hold additional charge of Ariyalur district SP, while Villupuram SP Sai Praneeth will hold additional charge of Kallakurichi district SP.
