Chennai West district Congress president and councillor Dilli Babu has submitted a complaint to the Director General of Police (DGP), stating that Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay faces a threat to his life and should be given maximum security.
In his petition, Dilli Babu said Vijay and TVK candidates have secured a major victory, which he described as the outcome the people of Tamil Nadu expected. He added that Vijay is now in a position to form the government.
The complaint further alleged that the BJP is exerting pressure against Vijay and that political conspiracies are being carried out to create a difficult situation for him.
Citing these circumstances, Dilli Babu requested that the police provide the highest level of protection not only to Vijay but also to Congress MLAs who are aligned with him.
