Tamil Nadu’s Class 12 (Plus Two) public examination results were declared on May 8 at 9.30 am. The Directorate of Government Examinations released the results at the SCERT auditorium in Nungambakkam, Chennai.
A total of 8.27 lakh students appeared for the state board exams held from March 2 to March 26. The overall pass percentage stood at 95.20%.
Girls recorded a higher pass rate at 97%, while boys secured 93.19%. By district, Erode topped the state with 98.87%, followed by Sivaganga (98.05%), Tirunelveli (97.84%), Kanniyakumari (97.63%) and Tiruchirappalli (97.50%).
School-wise, 2,639 schools achieved 100% results, including 489 government schools. Pass percentages were 92.16% in government schools, 96.14% in aided schools and 98.72% in private schools.
Temporary mark sheets will be issued from May 13. Supplementary examinations for students who did not pass are scheduled from June 28 to July 7. Results were also sent via SMS and can be checked on tnresults.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in and results.digilocker.gov.in; students can also access results through WhatsApp by messaging “Hi” to 78452 52525 and selecting the Directorate of Government Examinations Plus Two option.
