Chennai: The DMK has publicly questioned why Thaveka is avoiding even mentioning the BJP, as political debate intensifies over the Governor not inviting Thaveka to form a government.

Several parties in Tamil Nadu have criticised the Governor’s inaction, and support for Thaveka and actor-politician Vijay has been voiced by other parties. However, Vijay has not made any statement so far on the Governor’s role or offered a direct criticism, according to the DMK.

In a post on X, the DMK said its leader had already urged the Governor to begin the formal process for forming a new government. The party also claimed its leader had told alliance parties that he would support whatever decision they take.

The DMK’s post further asked why Thaveka—while demanding to form the government—has not spoken a word about either the Governor or the BJP. It also questioned why “horse-trading” was being discussed even after the DMK leader’s clear stand, and why Thaveka was hesitant to say “BJP”.
