AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) on Friday conveyed his wishes to the party set to form the government in Tamil Nadu following the 17th Tamil Nadu Assembly election.

An AIADMK MLAs’ meeting was held in Chennai under EPS’ leadership. A total of 41 MLAs attended the meeting, where the party discussed its next course of action.

After the meeting, EPS posted on social media that candidates from various parties had contested and won in the recently concluded election. He added that he was extending his heartfelt congratulations to the party that would form the government in the state.

The post drew attention as EPS did not mention the name of Thaveka while offering congratulations. The report noted that Thaveka leader Vijay had earlier avoided naming AIADMK during his campaign, often framing the contest as between DMK and Thaveka.
