A new government led by Thaweka was formed in Tamil Nadu on Saturday, with party leader Vijay taking oath as the Chief Minister.
Along with Vijay, nine others were sworn in as ministers as part of the new cabinet. The names announced were: Anand, Aadhav Arjuna, Arun Raj, Sengottaiyan, Venkataramanan, Nirmalkumar, Rajmohan, Prabhu and Keerthana.
During the oath-taking, Vijay and the other ministers pledged “in the name of God.” However, Aadhav Arjuna opted for a different wording, saying “with sincerity,” without invoking God.
The cabinet list and the oath-taking details were released as part of the official announcement of the new administration.
